NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville-based commercial real estate firm Southeast Venture has obtained a building permit for an office building that will be the firm’s new home in the Armory Oaks office park. The firm is designing the new building and developing it in partnership with H.G. Hill Realty. Crain Construction is the general contractor for the project. They broke ground in late March.

The new building will be 15,000 square feet and single-story. The exterior design – which is being overseen by design director Nathan Narwold – will feature a simple and clean material palette of contrasting brick tones, punched storefront windows, architectural steel and aluminum composite panels. It will incorporate a multi-functional outdoor amenity space for general day-to-day use, including a putting green, bocce ball & cornhole space, area for grilling and integrated bench seating.

“We are very fortunate to have the culture that has been created at Southeast Venture,” said Narwold. “Our people genuinely enjoy spending time with one another, so we wanted to provide a space that continues to foster this interaction.”

Headed up by Director of Interior Design Ginny Caldwell, the interior of the building will be an open, light-filled work environment with exposed ceilings and accents of the company’s red brand color. The layout supports collaboration and communication while also providing multiple options for individual work and meeting spaces.

A highlight is the “Gather Space,” which will join the interior to the outdoor space. In addition to refreshments and community, the Gather will be a place for individual work, brief meetings and team activities. A component of this space will be a casual “Living Room” area for more relaxed time and activities.

“We are creating an exciting and energized space that complements the highly engaged and collaborative culture of our company,” said Caldwell. “Everyone is looking forward to this new home.”

Jimmy Granbery, CEO of partner H.G. Hill Realty, said “We have had a wonderful long-term relationship with Southeast Venture, and we look forward to building a new headquarters that will serve their needs for many years to come.”

Southeast Venture is targeting completion for late 2019 or early 2020.
